About FileFly
FileFly is a free, no-install, cross-platform tool for sending files between devices. Open it in a browser on your phone, computer or tablet and transfer files and whole folders to another device. Files are sent peer-to-peer via WebRTC — they are never uploaded to or stored on our server.
Features
- Cross-platform: iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, tablets — no app to install.
- Auto-discovery: devices on the same Wi-Fi find each other automatically.
- Across networks: pair devices on different networks with a room code or link.
- Whole folders: structure preserved; drag & drop on desktop.
- Send to many: share one file to several devices at once.
- Private: peer-to-peer, files never touch a server.
How to use (same Wi-Fi)
- Open FileFly in a browser on both devices on the same Wi-Fi.
- Wait a moment — each device appears on the other.
- Tap the other device → choose “Send files” or “Send a whole folder”.
- The other side taps “Accept” to start.
How to use (different networks)
- Tap “🔗 Connect across networks” → “Create a room”. You get a code and link.
- Send the code or link to the other person.
- They open the link (or enter the code) to pair.
- Then transfer as usual.
FAQ
Are my files stored on your server?
No. Files go device-to-device; the server only helps the two devices find each other.
Is there a file size limit?
No hard limit; speed depends on your network.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes — open it in Safari or Chrome, no install.
Sometimes cross-network won’t connect?
A few strict networks (some corporate/carrier setups) block direct connections; switching networks (e.g. a hotspot or normal home Wi-Fi) usually fixes it.
